What are High Unite events?

A High Unite Event is an initiative that helps homeschooled high schoolers come together and connect by participating in different activities and discussions. There are five kinds of events for students that happen at various times of the year:

  1. Kickstart: Kickstart is an event designed for new high school homeschoolers to help them “kick start” their homeschooling journey. This event welcomes them into the High Unite community and provides them with homeschooling tips and strategies through talks from seasoned homeschoolers and advisors. New homeschoolers will also be able to meet their fellow first time homeschoolers during breakout sessions.
  2. Sportsfest: Sportsfest is a multi-day event that challenges students' view of sports and true sportsmanship. This event brings the High Unite community together through team formation and camaraderie amongst its participants. The four teams (Red Bears, Blue Whales, Green Lions, and Purple Wolves) go head to head in assorted sports to determine the Winning Team.
  3. Chaverim: Chaverim, meaning “friends”, is an event that bridges the distance of the various High Unite hubs. In a one day gathering, homeschoolers from the same area meet together to play games, converse, and bond. All the numerous areas do these activities simultaneously.
  4. Catenate: Camp Catenate is the most anticipated annual event, lasting three days and two nights. Participants experience companionship with their assigned cabin roommates, and teamwork during the challenging Amazing Race. This event also provides an opportunity for students to grow closer to God by discussing His Word with their fellow homeschoolers in breakout sessions and enjoying His presence in nature.
  5. Pizza Party Pare: Pizza Party Pare, also known as PPP, is a year-end celebration showcasing homeschool talent and creativity. Participants will be able to exhibit their originality by dressing up in a costume or outfit according to that year's theme. Of course, this event is characterized by the loads of pizza consumed by the students.
